eligibility and certification information.
VAN SERVICE The MST RIDES Van provides curb to-curb transportation. It is a ride-sharing program. There may be
times when you will share your ride with others.
REQUESTING A RIDE To request Van Service, call MST Rides.
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Sat./Sun./Holidays 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Call to schedule your trip. Requests may be made up to 14 days in advance. There are no restrictions on
trip purpose. When making your request, please have the exact address and telephone number of your pick-up and drop-off locations ready.
MST RIDES may need to schedule the pickup or drop-off time within an hour of your requested time. This
may happen based on vehicle availability.
SERVICE HOURS & AREA Service Hours: Monday-Saturday 6:00 am-i 1:00 p.m. Sunday 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Service is not available Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.
You can use the Van for all trips within the following areas: Salinas, the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel Valley, and North Monterey County. You may also use the Van in South Monterey County within one mile of Highway 101, between Bradley and Salinas. Trips from South Monterey County cities (King City, Greenfield, Soledad, and Gonzales) are for medical and social service agency appointments. FARES One-way, one-zone trip $1.25 One-way, all-zone trip $1.50
One-zone trips are within a single zone. The zones are: South Monterey County, Big Sur, Carmel Valley, Monterey Peninsula, Salinas, and North Monterey County. Exact fare is required.
TICKET BOOKS Books of 10 one-zone tickets $12.50 Books of 10 two-zone tickets $15.00

If you need assistance, one companion may ride for free. Other companions may pay the fare and ride on a space-available basis.

PASSENGER GUIDELINES
Be ready to leave 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time. Our driver will pick you up at the curb. For reasons of personal safety and liability, our drivers may not negotiate stairs or enter private homes or care facilities.
If you must cancel your reservation notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel, there may be a $5.00 no-show fee. This courtesy will allow another rider to use that available space. No-shows and cancellations are expensive both in time and money.)
MST RIDES reserves the right to refuse service to riders who demonstrate disruptive and/or unsafe behavior, repeated lateness, excessive no-shows and cancellations.
REIMBURSED TAXI SERVICE
As an alternative to the Van, you may call any taxi company for your transportation needs. The MST RIDES Program will reim-burse you for up to half of your taxi fares. Monthly reimbursement payments will not exceed $45 per person. The reimbursement could be less depending on the available budget for this service, and on the number of persons who use the program.
To use the Reimbursed Taxi Service: MST RIDES Receipts older than 60 days will not be reimbursed.
SPECIAL MEDICAL TRIPS
MST RIDES provides limited service once a month to the San Francisco Bay Area for medical trips to:
University of California at San Francisco Medical Center, San Francisco, CA
Call MST RIDES to schedule your trip as soon as you know of your appointment. The fare for this service is $15.00 round trip.
