Attending: Jane Wheeler, Gordon MacKenzie, Nancy Waymire, Ed Canades, Philip Childress, Starla Warren, Joseph Hertlein, John Dalessio, Henry Ruhnke, Pat Dwire, Senior Comm. Devl. Planner.

  1. Minutes of the first 3 meetings were distributed via e-mail and approved with one exception – which was corrected.
  2. Starla Warren spoke regarding bids on well repair, not completed, regarding solar panels bids, not completed yet, needs more information about usage in order to get bids.
  3. Starla says there are extreme maintenance issues and extreme rehab needed. A discussion of relocation issues revealed that there are approx. 33 wheelchair residents and if we rehab one building at a time, temporary relocation of only 4-5 accessible units at a time will be needed. Ambulatory residents can stay at "Motel 6."
  4. A discussion of the money needed for rehab brought on a discussion of the priorities for repair can we reduce the list of needed repairs to a manageable list.
  5. This brought on a discussion of ADA requirements, with major rehab. We need research for someone to inspect for ADA compliance. Mr. Ruhnke says estimates are not accurate because we didn’t get complete ADA codes.
  6. John Dalessio believes he can get county to do an ADA inspection.
  7. Joseph Hertlein wants staged rehab with practical options, with respect to finances.
  8. After a break, the group inspected an empty unit regarding ADA changes needed to bring to code. Example, door 33" wide, new laws require it to be 34".
  9. Regarding energy conservation efforts, Nancy Waymire submitted water conservation packet that was distributed to all residents.
  10. Regarding site and unit tour, we will meet with Ed Canades at our next meeting Nov. 7.
