RE: Maintenance Inspection 

HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF MONTEREY

Dear Resident: 

This notice is to advise you that a representative from the Technical Services Department will be performing the annual housekeeping and maintenance inspection of your unit. You need not be home for this inspection. The Maintenance Inspector will enter your unit and perform the inspections. 

Also be advised that if housekeeping is unsatisfactoiy a follow-up inspection will be conducted by Housing Management. In addition, if any emergency or energy conservation maintenance items are identified, the Technical Services Department will make work orders and enter your unit to accomplish the work. If insect infestation is visible they will notify your Housing Manager for follow-up pest control treatment. 

The inspection is scheduled during the week of March 9th to March 19th beginning at 8:00A.M.

Dear Public Housing Resident: 

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is providing modernization flinding on a formula basis to Housing Authorities to improve the physical condition and upgrade the management and operation of existing public housing. The modernization flinding will be through The Comprehensive Grant Program (COP). We anticipate receiving approximately $1,000,000.00. 

We are required to develop a Comprehensive Plan and submit the plan to HUD. In an effon to meet the consultation requirements, we need to develop a pattnership with the residents to develop and implement the goals, strategies and priorities identified in the plan. 

The purpose of this notice is to announce the beginning of our planning process to implement the COP and to invite you to anend a meeting to assist us in development and implementing our strategy for improvements in modernization, maintenance, management, security, and resident empowerrnent initiatives. The initial planning meeting is scheduled for FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1998 AT 3:00 P. M. AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE LOCATED AT 123 RICO STREET IN SALINAS. 

A Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan will follow on MONDAY, MARCH 23, 1998 AT 6:00 P. M. AT OUR CENTRAL OFFICE LOCATED AT 123 RICO STREET IN SALINAS. We encourage you to anend these meetings to address our mutual concern, while identifying significant problems and viable solutions towards improving the physical conditions and quality of life in our public housing communities.
